2007 Vjekoslav Sajfert a

      

 

 

Dr. Vjekoslav Sajfert was born on September 1, 1953 in Novi Slankamen. His father is Dragutin and mother Kata. He finished elementary school in Novi Slankamen in 1968, and grammar school in Indjija in 1972. He received the B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Novi Sad in 1978, with the paper:

 Spectral Function and Magnetisation of the Heisenberg Ferromagnet at Low Temperatures.

 He received his Master Degree in Theoretical Physics at the Faculty of Science in Belgrade in 1988 with the thesis:

 Properties of Ferroelectric Phase with Incommensurate Phase.

 Ph.D. Thesis:

 Correlations Between Structural Deformation and Concentration of Elementary Excitations.

 He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Faculty of Science Sarajevo on 8 July 1990.

 He worked as a physics teacher at the grammar school in Indjija from 1977 to 1999. His further career has been: Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad (1997), Associate Professor at the University of Novi Sad (2004), and finally in 2009, Full Professor of Physics at the University of Novi Sad, the Technical Faculty ”Mihajlo Pupin”, Zrenjanin. His subjects are: Physics, Electrical Engineering with electronics, Medical instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunications. His main field of research is Theoretical physics of condensed matter, nanophysics and nanoscience.

He is author and co-author of 16 textbooks, 8 handbooks, 62 scientific papers in domestic and foreign journals (Holland, Germany, England, the USA, the Czech Republic), 3 monographs, has participated in 45 national and international conferences. He has taken part in 5 projects of the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia and in one project of AP Vojvodina. For five years he was in charge of the project of the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia called:

 Advancement of the physical characteristics of nanostructure materials.

 He was the president of the organizing committee of the International Conference “UrbanEco 2012”.

  In 2009 and 2010, he was the vice dean at the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin“, Zrenjanjin. In 2010, he was the acting dean at the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin“, Zrenjanjin.

 He speaks English, German and Russian.

             His spouse Mirjana is a biology teacher in the Elementary school "Petar Kočić" in Indjija. They have two children – daughter Marina, married Telpinger, IT engineer, and son Branimir, married, Engineer for control of technical systems in medicine and Industrial Engineering, Master. He has two granddaughters: Lara and Lana.
